Ingredients
Scale
Pasta
- 8 ounces dried pasta noodles
Sauce
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt to taste
- Ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the dried pasta noodles and cook until al dente, following package instructions. Before draining, reserve 3/4 cup of the pasta cooking water.
- Prepare Garlic Butter: In a skillet over low heat, melt 3 tablespoons of butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté gently until fragrant, taking care not to burn the garlic.
- Toss Pasta with Sauce: Add the drained pasta to the skillet and toss well to coat the noodles in the garlic butter sauce. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until the cheese melts and blends with the sauce.
- Adjust and Season: If the pasta seems dry, add the reserved pasta cooking water a little at a time to reach the desired consistency. Season with salt and ground black pepper to taste. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Reserve pasta water to help the sauce cling to the noodles and adjust sauce consistency.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and texture.
- For added richness, feel free to increase the butter by 1 tablespoon.
- Serve with a sprinkle of fresh parsley or extra Parmesan for garnish if desired.
