Ingredients
Scale
Ranch Coating
- ¼ cup salted butter, melted (or a dairy-free alternative)
- ¼ cup avocado oil (or another mildly flavored oil)
- 2 tablespoons ranch seasoning (or 1 packet)
- 1 teaspoon dried dill
Main
- 1 pound pretzels (twists or sticks)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C) and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking.
- Make the Ranch Coating: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the melted butter, avocado oil, ranch seasoning, and dried dill until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
- Coat the Pretzels: Place half of the pretzels into a gallon-sized Ziploc bag, pour half of the ranch mixture over them. Add the remaining pretzels along with the rest of the sauce. Seal the bag trapping air inside to help with mixing, then shake vigorously until all pretzels are evenly coated in the ranch mixture.
- Arrange and Bake: Spread the coated pretzels evenly in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake them in the oven for 18-20 minutes, tossing halfway through cooking to ensure even baking and prevent burning.
- Cool and Serve: Remove the pretzels from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet. Once cooled, they are ready to serve as a crunchy, flavorful snack.
Notes
- You can use dairy-free butter if you prefer a vegan or dairy-free version.
- Shake the pretzels thoroughly in the bag to ensure even seasoning coverage.
- Watch closely during baking to avoid burning the pretzels, as ovens may vary.
- Store cooled pretzels in an airtight container to maintain crispness.
- Experiment with additional herbs or spices like garlic powder or paprika for extra flavor.
