A creamy, tangy tahini salad dressing made with simple wholesome ingredients like tahini, olive oil, pure maple syrup, lemon juice and zest, apple cider vinegar, garlic, and ginger. This versatile dressing is easy to prepare in minutes using a blender or whisk and is perfect for drizzling over salads or roasted vegetables.
Ingredients
Scale
For the Tahini Salad Dressing
- 3 Tbsp tahini
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 2 Tbsp pure maple syrup
- ½ lemon, juice and zest
- 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)
- 1 clove garlic, crushed
- ¼ tsp ginger, minced
- 2-3 Tbsp water (to thin out dressing)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: Add all ingredients except water to a high-speed blender or food processor. Blend for 20-30 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy. If you don’t have a blender, whisk the ingredients together vigorously in a bowl or shake well in a mason jar until well combined.
- Adjust Consistency: Gradually add water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing after each addition to thin the dressing. Continue until you reach your desired consistency for easy drizzling.
- Store and Serve: Transfer the tahini dressing to an airtight container and refrigerate. It will keep fresh for up to 1-2 weeks. Stir before each use and enjoy on salads, grain bowls, or roasted veggies.
Notes
- Use fresh lemon juice and zest for the best bright flavor.
- If you want a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or a dash of hot sauce.
- For a nut-free option, substitute tahini with sunflower seed butter.
- Shake or stir well before each use as separation may occur naturally.
- This dressing is vegan, gluten-free, and lactose-free.
